Torque sensor is a necessary component in some industrial products, which is mainly used to measure speed and angular position, but different types of sensors have different methods and functions. What is the classification of torque sensor? Today, Xiaobian will take you to understand the classification of torque sensors.
Resistance strain torque sensor.
The sensor is simple in structure and convenient to manufacture, but the vibration frequency of the conductive slip ring is low, so it is not suitable for high-frequency rotating bodies and large torque vibration.
Photoelectric torque sensor.
It consists of a torsion shaft and two grating disks. The two grating plates have the same number of radial black parts. When the shaft is twisted, the twisting angle is deformed, and the grating disks 1 and 2 form light-transmitting ports with different angles. The pulse output of photoelectric element is widened, and the greater the torque, the larger the opening of light-transmitting port.
The width of photocurrent pulse is also large, and the average value of pulse current is proportional to torque. The sensor is non-contact, but the light source must be adjusted.
Piezoelectric torque sensor.
Its torsion axis is made of ferromagnetic material. When subjected to torque, the shaft will produce directional stress and magnetic anisotropy, that is, the magnetic resistance under tensile stress decreases and the magnetic resistance under compressive stress increases.
The sensor has no conductive slip ring, which is a non-contact measurement with high reliability, strong robustness, high output voltage and insensitivity to temperature and disturbance.
Vibrating wire torque sensor.
Vibrating wire is sensitive to torsion angle to measure torque (see vibrating wire sensor), which has frequency signal transmission and good immunity to interference.
