The load cell can be said to be an important part of the concrete mixing station. First, let's understand what a load cell is:
In fact, a load cell is a device that converts a mass signal into a measurable electrical signal.
According to its definition, we can know that the weighing sensor is an electrical component, which converts the mass of an object into an electrical signal, thus facilitating us to measure the mass of the object. The commonly used sensors in mixing station are usually S-type sensors and cantilever sensors, and the measurement of aggregate, powder and water is generally cantilever sensors, while the measurement of additives is through S-type sensors.
The working principle of the S-type sensor is similar to that of the cantilever sensor. When an external force acts on the built-in elastic element of the weighing sensor, the elastic element will deform, the resistance value of its resistor will also change, and the voltage value at the output end will also change. This process is the process of converting weight into electrical signals.
The weighing sensor in the concrete mixing station is very different from the general weighing electronic scale, mainly because it is in harsh conditions, and the surrounding environment is very complex and has greater randomness.
1. Ambient temperature and humidity
The concrete mixing station is usually installed in the open air, and the sensor may be exposed to the wind and the sun. However, many construction projects are in mountainous areas or remote areas with rather harsh natural conditions. Therefore, a wider temperature range and higher humidity conditions must be considered. Concrete needs water in the production process, and a lot of moisture will be generated in the process of water transportation and weighing, which will form a relatively humid environment in a certain small range.
In temperature-controlled mixing, there are different requirements for high temperature working conditions and low temperature working conditions. When operating at low temperature in summer, it is necessary to introduce cold air below zero and add ice to stir, and condensed water will appear, which shows that the internal humidity is high.
2. Dust
In the production process of concrete, a large amount of cement, pulverized coal ash and an appropriate amount of additives are needed. These powders will produce dust during transportation and weighing. Even for aggregate, dust is produced during transportation. Some of these dusts will adhere to the sensor surface. Under the combined action of dust and water vapor, the sensor will be seriously corroded. Therefore, the probability of sensor damage of powder scale is usually higher than that of other scales.
This puts forward higher requirements for the material of the sensor, and high-quality and durable metal materials can improve the service life of the sensor.
3. Impact and vibration
In the process of feeding, sand and gravel will have an impact. In the process of mixing, there will be continuous vibration, and vibration will cause fatigue damage.
4. Artificial environment
Man-made environment is one of the factors that must be considered in product reliability design. Concrete mixing is generally installed in the construction site, and there may be some workers with low education level and lack of necessary skills and common sense. In the cleaning and maintenance of equipment, it is very likely that the sensor will be sputtered by high-pressure water and overloaded due to misoperation.
The above are the factors that may affect the sensor in the concrete mixing station. In addition to the irresistible external factors and losses, the influence of human factors can be minimized, and the sensor with high quality and high strength can be selected to prolong the service life of the sensor.
