What are the environmental requirements for the installation of load cells?

When the load cell is installed, its working environment should be considered to ensure the accuracy of measurement and prolong its service life.

Temperature range: Most load cells have a specific working temperature range, which may affect the performance of the sensor or cause damage. Before installation, it should be confirmed whether the ambient temperature of the equipment meets the requirements of the sensor.

Humidity condition: High humidity may cause corrosion to the sensor and affect its long-term stability. If it is used in high temperature environment, sensors with good waterproof and moisture-proof functions should be selected or corresponding protective measures should be taken.

Cleanliness: impurities such as dust and oil stain may affect the accuracy of the sensor. Therefore, it is necessary to keep the installation surface and surrounding environment clean before and after installation.

Vibration and shock: Avoid installing the sensor in the position with strong vibration or frequent shock, which may cause damage to the internal structure or change the zero output value. If it cannot be avoided, it is necessary to choose anti-vibration products and appropriately increase the damping device.

Electromagnetic interference: Strong magnetic field and electric field will interfere with some types of load cells, especially in precision measurement. Keep away from high-power motors, transformers and other equipment as far as possible, or use shielded cables to connect sensors and reading instruments.
